Terms of Use

Effective: July 23, 2026 · Updated: August 9, 2026

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Beijing Qijian Technology Co., Ltd. (“Qijian,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your download, installation, access, and use of AltitudeNow. Please read these Terms and the Privacy Policy before using the app.

AltitudeNow does not require a separate account and currently offers no paid membership or in-app purchases. Operations reporting starts only after you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. iOS resolves ATT first: authorization permits UMP and device-level attribution; denial or restriction skips UMP and its cookie form, disables cross-app tracking and device-level attribution, and permits only Google Limited Ads without IDFA or local identifiers. Choosing “Not Now” keeps the app on the privacy notice and prevents these SDKs and related requests from starting.

1. Service

AltitudeNow displays altitude, location accuracy, coordinates, direction, pressure, nearby temperature, sunrise, and sunset. It also provides camera and Photos input, photo stamps, editing, local creation storage, saving, and sharing. Photos and creations are stored on your device by default. No cloud backup or permanent online storage is promised.

Environment readings depend on device sensors, positioning, network access, third-party services, and surrounding conditions. They may be delayed, approximate, or unavailable. AltitudeNow is designed for travel memories and everyday reference, not professional surveying, aviation, navigation, rescue, medical, or other safety-critical use.

2. Acceptable Use

3. Permissions, Network Services, and Advertising

Location, camera, Photos, and motion sensors are used only when relevant features require them and after system authorization. Weather, feedback, first-party operations reporting, display advertising, and attribution may require network access. Refusing an optional permission affects only the related feature; denying ATT on iOS disables cross-app tracking, UMP/cookie forms, and device-level attribution but may still permit Google Limited Ads. See the Privacy Policy for details.

After consent, the app may request app-open and fixed banner ads. This iOS release is not available in mainland China or the 27 European Union storefronts; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan remain enabled. All enabled storefronts use Google AdMob. ATT authorization uses UMP-managed normal ads; denial or restriction skips UMP and its cookie form and requests Limited Ads only. Limited Ads does not access IDFA or use local identifiers, but may process IP address and storage used solely for invalid-traffic detection. No ad is requested if the App Store storefront cannot be determined. The domestic Android build uses GroMore only and contains neither Google Mobile Ads nor UMP; the Google Play build uses Google AdMob only and excludes domestic aggregation SDKs. Ads may link to third-party pages. Their content, products, services, and transactions are provided by the relevant third party; we are not a party to those transactions.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

The app’s software, interface, icon, copy, interactions, brand, and included assets are owned by Qijian or their lawful owners. You retain the rights you lawfully hold in photos and creations you produce, and you are responsible for their legality. Without permission, you may not copy, adapt, rent, sell, mirror, or reuse app assets in another commercial product.

5. Disclaimers and Liability

Altitude, pressure, direction, location, weather, mountain, and light information may contain errors or become temporarily unavailable. Do not use it as the sole basis for a decision involving health, property, or public safety. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss caused by misuse, device or network failure, third-party service changes, or events beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under mandatory consumer law.

6. Changes and Termination

We may adjust features for security, compliance, compatibility, or product development. Material changes will be described through the app, website, or another appropriate channel. We may take lawful and proportionate action if use of the app seriously violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. Children

Children should use AltitudeNow with a parent or guardian and should not publicly share a home address, school location, precise live route, or other sensitive location information.

8. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection that applies in your place of residence. The parties should first try to resolve a dispute through good-faith discussion. If that fails, either party may seek relief from a court with lawful jurisdiction.
