Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does Nyctra require an account?
No. The current version does not require a separate Nyctra account. The app uses a random installation identifier to maintain local preferences, notification settings, usage allowances, and membership status. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data may remove local watchlists, filters, cached content, and other local records.
2. Can I use the map without granting location access?
Yes. If location access is denied, the map remains available with a default global view and may show an approximate region based on the network request. Nyctra reads the device-provided location only after you grant foreground location access, and uses it to center the map near you. You can change this permission at any time in the system settings.
3. What should I do if risk or market data does not update?
Check your internet connection, then pull to refresh or use the refresh button on the relevant screen. Public and licensed sources may be delayed, under maintenance, regionally restricted, or temporarily unavailable. When a refresh fails, Nyctra may continue to show the most recent valid cached data. For important events, verify the original source shown in the event details and consult the relevant official authority.
4. Why am I not receiving alert notifications?
Confirm that notifications are allowed in your system settings, then review your alert rules, watch areas, and delivery settings in Nyctra. On some Android devices, background restrictions, battery optimization, or manufacturer-specific push settings may also affect delivery. Notification delivery depends on the device, network, and third-party push services and cannot be guaranteed.
5. What if a map location, risk score, translation, or AI analysis is inaccurate?
Nyctra aggregates public and licensed sources and uses automated processing. Locations, scores, summaries, translations, and generated analysis may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. They are provided for general information and are not investment, legal, medical, emergency, security, or other professional advice. Verify important information with the original source and relevant authorities. You can also submit risk-quality feedback from within the app.
6. How do I restore a purchase?
Make sure the device is signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account used for the original purchase. Open the Nyctra membership screen and select Restore Purchases or refresh your entitlement. If a completed purchase is still not recognized, contact support with the product name, purchase time, platform, and order status. Do not send card numbers, payment passwords, or complete purchase credentials.
7. Why does Nyctra display ads?
The free plan may display banner ads and may let you voluntarily watch a rewarded ad for additional daily feature usage. Under the current product policy, the Analyst plan does not display ads. Ad availability and personalization may depend on your region, system privacy settings, consent choices, and Google service availability.
8. How can I submit a question or suggestion?
Open More > Support & Legal > Help & Feedback in Nyctra, or email support@nvper.com. The app does not automatically attach complete logs, photos, local databases, purchase credentials, or precise location to a feedback submission. Provide only the information necessary to investigate the issue.
